Summary: Beautiful experience with an excellent lake view. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for some time to relax and reset. Good service and great quality food. Very calm environment with many activities on site. Me and my partner enjoyed our stay here.

Summary: Property in desperate need of upgrading. Walls are paper thin we can hear whatever everyone else was doing. Random opening where the toilet was into the main bedroom so you could hear what everyone was doing on the toilet. Furniture dated and marked. carpet, kettle and chairs had paint splatters Had to ring for service at check-in and check out. Breakfast was okay, although the beverages was not really at hotel standard and was tepid. Overall, bedding clean and comfy, staff friendly hard to see how this is a 4 star resort.

Summary: Property was tired. Location & surroundings were beautiful. Didn’t have many staff around. Nobody to check us in. Asked to wait in the bar…. No staff & coffee machine broken. Asked to wait to be seated at breakfast but again no staff.

Summary: Gorgeous location on the shore of Lake Rotoiti. Perfect for catching the afternoon boat to the Manupirua Hot Pools. There's nothing wrong with hotel that wouldnt be solved with better and more meaningful cleaning.

Summary: Decent sized room with a comfortable king size bed, one easy chair, one office type swivel chair and a couple of dining chairs and a small table. Our second floor room looked out onto Lake Rotoiti - very nice view (Lake Rotorua is in the opposite direction and can't be seen from the hotel). Strange folding wooden shutters between the room and en suite bathroom (with separate shower cubicle) - would let in natural light I suppose? Fridge, desk, small wardrobe containing iron and board. Some of the fittings are a bit worn and tarnished, giving the room a well used feel - but it was clean and everything worked. Friendly staff. Parking on site. No lift - but the receptionist offered to help carry luggage. Good breakfast available: fruit, cereal, yoghurt cheese, cold meats, croissants juice, plus scrambled eggs, baked beans, mushrooms, hash browns and bacon (potato wedges one morning). Toast, butter and spreads. Only disappointment was the water in the flask for tea wasn't hot - we had tea in our room. At times the breakfast area had food dropped by guests on the chairs and carpet. We dined in the restaurant one evening - nice meal. The hotel is an easy 20-30 minute drive to the centre of Rotorua (you definitely need your own transport) but only 5 minutes from Okere and Tutela falls. We had a comfortable stay and the buffet breakfast was a treat.
